Examples Of Distance Learning Colleges

There are literally hundreds of distance learning colleges, because many traditional colleges now offer distance learning programs. As a student you can take a few online courses at Harvard, a top state university, or your local community college. While many education institutions now offer distance learning options, some colleges cater specifically to distance learning students - distance learning is their specialty. Here are a few of them:

University of Phoenix. One of the biggest names in distance learning, the University of Phoenix was one of the first accredited universities to offer degree programs online. It boasts more than a decade of experience in web-based delivery of education. It is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

American InterContinental University (AIU). This distance learning college creates degrees and programs based on current market trends.
